Carls Valeting IOW – Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Carls Valeting IOW. By booking a service, the client agrees to the following terms.
1. Bookings
Bookings can be made via phone, message, or other agreed communication methods. A booking is considered confirmed once a date and time have been agreed by both parties and, where required, a deposit has been paid.
Carls Valeting IOW reserves the right to decline or reschedule bookings where necessary.
2. Deposits
Certain services may require a deposit to secure the booking. Any deposit taken will be deducted from the final balance of the service.
Deposits are generally non-refundable but may be transferred to a new appointment date if sufficient notice is provided. Deposits must be used within a reasonable timeframe agreed between both parties.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
If a client needs to cancel or rearrange a booking, as much notice as possible should be given.
Appointments may be rescheduled subject to availability. In cases of repeated cancellations or missed appointments, Carls Valeting IOW may require payment in full before accepting future bookings.
4. Weather Policy
As a mobile service, Carls Valeting IOW operates in most normal weather conditions, including light rain.
However, in cases of severe weather or unsafe working conditions, appointments may need to be rearranged. If this occurs, the booking will be moved to the next suitable date without penalty.
5. Vehicle Condition & Pre-Existing Damage
A visual inspection of the vehicle may be carried out prior to work beginning.
During the cleaning process, previously hidden defects such as scratches, dents, worn paint, or interior damage may become visible once dirt and contaminants are removed. Carls Valeting IOW cannot be held responsible for pre-existing damage that becomes visible during or after cleaning.
All reasonable care is taken when working on vehicles.
6. Excessively Soiled Vehicles
Services are priced based on typical vehicle condition. Vehicles that are excessively dirty or require significantly more time may incur additional charges. If this applies, the client will be informed before continuing where possible.
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for ensuring the vehicle is accessible at the agreed booking time and that there is sufficient space for the service to be carried out safely.
Personal belongings should be removed from the vehicle prior to the appointment. Carls Valeting IOW cannot be held responsible for items left inside the vehicle.
If a vehicle contains biohazards, mould, excessive waste, or other hazardous materials, this must be disclosed prior to the appointment.
8. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Carls Valeting IOW accepts payment via approved payment methods agreed with the client at the time of booking.
Failure to make payment may result in refusal of future services.
9. Liability
While every effort is made to treat all vehicles with care, Carls Valeting IOW cannot accept responsibility for:
Pre-existing damage or wear and tear
Faulty, fragile, or previously repaired components
Mechanical or electrical faults unrelated to the cleaning process
Any concerns should be raised as soon as possible so they can be reviewed promptly.
10. Service Results
While Carls Valeting IOW always aims to achieve the best possible results, some defects or staining may be permanent and cannot always be fully removed.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
Deep scratches or stone chips
Permanent staining to fabrics or carpets
Worn or faded paintwork
Etching caused by bird droppings or chemicals
The service provided is intended to improve the condition of the vehicle but cannot guarantee complete restoration in all cases.
11. Photographs & Marketing
Carls Valeting IOW may take photographs of vehicles before, during, or after the service for documentation and marketing purposes.
These images may be used on social media or the website. Vehicle registration numbers and identifying information will be avoided or obscured where possible.
If a client would prefer their vehicle not to be photographed, they should notify us before the service begins.
12. Post-Service Responsibility
Once the service has been completed and the vehicle has been returned to the client, responsibility for the vehicle returns to the owner.
Any concerns regarding the service should be raised as soon as possible so they can be reviewed promptly.
13. Amendments
Carls Valeting IOW reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most up-to-date version will always be available on the website.
